A Calm Friday
Today we stayed home and enjoyed our balcony as a reading room. In my case I also used my Apple earbuds to enjoy a recording of Elgar's Cello Concerto with Yo Yo Ma on the cello. What a marvelous piece of work! Evoking sadness and melancholy at the start, it moves on to striving and resolve, leading to victory, and on into joyfulness. It concludes with the original sad theme suggesting a new challenge, requiring a new conquest. Here is a link to it ...

Questions From Readers Department:
Question #1: Love that mini video! Is that your balcony?
Answer: No, that video was taken at the restaurant downstairs. Video of balcony to follow.
Question #2: What’s wrong with a cap?
When it comes to other people? Nothing. When it comes to me? Google grants me only 15 Gigabytes so I can't list everything. The main thing wrong with a cap for me is that once, long ago, I put one on my head and looked in the mirror. The cap and I have had an adversarial relationship ever since and don't blame me, the cap started it. I have long disliked head gear to begin with but I must make an exception for the cowboy hat. You just cannot not like a cowboy hat!
Turning now to something I do like. It's this balcony that serves us as a dining area, reading room, music-listening room, meditation center, and scenery dispenser.

You have a living room set on your patio?? Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI just love that balcony!!! Quite the reading room you have there.....birds chirping, blue skies, glistening pool....ahhh the life of vacationing! Enjoy! p.s. going back to your hat search, I remember also you having many of these hats....couldn’t fit one in your suitcase?
ReplyDeleteNice digs. Is Yo Yo Ma a Hip Hop artist? Funny Ed, you struck me more of a classical music lover not a hip hop gangsta type.
ReplyDeleteStunning! Could use that beautiful bright blue sky & sunshine in Raincouver right about now. Although, compared to the weather back East.. I guess I will be content. Lol! :p
