Thursday Things

It was well after noon today before we could take a little R&R by the pool. Several other JWs are staying here so we enjoy many a poolside conversation. The older ones among us, and that's most of us, speak of feeling much better in this climate during winter months. Fewer aches and pains, less resorting to Tylenol, less coughing in the morning, stuff like that. And we all are grateful for the opportunity to be outdoors much more frequently than when there is cold, ice, and snow.

I'm also closing in on the end of my book about physics, currently learning more about sound waves, frequency, wavelengths, and amplitude, all of which is related to a finer understanding of music. The way things in physics behave is, as the author sometimes describes it, "very clever." So far he has not attributed the cleverness to a mind, but loving creative care is abundantly evident. And the Owner of that mind has to be at serious odds with his exquisite creation being so callously abused.

On the subject of musical sound waves, I often read accompanied by the tinkle of our balcony's bamboo wind chimes. It is easy to acquire a taste for their gentle contribution to the ambience.

On the way to our poolside chairs I recognized Jorge scuttling over the lawn and tried to persuade him to perform for a video. The snob treated me like paparazzi. Anyway, I'd rather have a video of him running away from me than toward me.

Below are some late afternoon photos of the pool area and the beach. You will notice we do not suffer from a population explosion here. Miami Beach, with a squatter on every square foot, it is not. The lifeguard on the beach can spend his time whale watching, which at times does provide wonderful sights.

  1. Got a little bit too much sun today even with Sport50 sunscreen. Too long in the pool. Not smart!😳
